critics choice

as u may know, we are the house band for the vh1 critics choice awards, broadcasting live on jan 8. this week we are holed up in a rehearsal room preparing the music. we will be playing well-known cover songs, mainly from the 70′s and 80′s. we will also be doing plenty of rooney songs from our 2 records, as well as debuting some new tunes that we recently recorded. this is a fun job. it seems like a lot of work, but its actually going very smoothly and painlessly. yesterday we focused on the covers, today we’ll focus on the rooney music. it good to have the 5 of us in a room together, plugged in and playing loud after the holiday break. tune in (or set ur tivo) and listen/look for rooney. –taylor
