Tuesday, July 28th our very own Louis Stephens will be playing with the l.a. based folk act The Chapin Sisters at The Hotel Cafe in Hollywood at 10 PM. Also included in the band are Aaron Sperske and Dan Horne from Beachwood Sparks. Come one come all.

Welcome to the new Rooney-Band! Along with the new look of the site, we have transferred the forum over to a new system. Unfortunately, if you had an account on the old site, it was not transferred over to the new one.

You can now find Rooney on Twitter, the social networking site that allows you to send updates up to 140 characters (called ‘tweets’) to your friends to let them know what you’re up to. This is a great way to stay connected to the band!

Rooney plays Dfest…Tulsa Oklahoma…July 25th

This Friday night, Rooney heads out to Tulsa Oklahoma for a weekend of rock and roll. They will be sharing the stage with The Black Crowes, The Delta Spirit, Mates of State, and a bunch of other cool shit. Be there!!

Tomorrow night at the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood, Ned, Matt, and Taylor will join Bostonian singer/songwriter Bleu on the last night of his 3 week residency. The Rooney boys will also be playing alongside the legendary Roger Manning Jr. (Jellyfish, Imperial Drag, Beck, Air) and Mike Viola (Candy Butchers, That Thing You Do/The Wonders, Solo record bad assness). The superband known as Mogul will perform songs off some of the aforementioned records so don’t miss it! This show will sell out so go to The Hotel Cafe calender website for tickets.

This is Dave Trumfio from Los Angeles by way of Chicago. He is mixing the new Rooney record as we speak and is now halfway through the process. the new record has entered the mixing stage. all of the music is done being recorded, and we have selected the songs that will go onto the album. we are working with a cool mixer, and getting through roughly 1 song per day. this is the finish line folks. new rooney album almost done!
