Top L.A. Musicians Gather At Largo, March 24 for Wizards & Stars Musical Literary Event

On Thursday, March 24 at 8PM, San Francisco musicians Paul Myers and Scott Miller come to Los Angeles to celebrate the publication of Miller’s book Music: What Happened? and Myers’s A Wizard A True Star: Todd Rundgren In The Studio. Hosted by Dave Foley (Kids In The Hall, Newsradio).

Scott Miller is launching Music: What Happened?, a song-by-song critical essay and paean to some of his favorite songs from the last 53 years of popular music. Scott will tell stories and read selections as well as perform choice songs from his work.

Paul Myers has just released A Wizard A True Star: Todd Rundgren In The Studio, which chronicles the entire production career of Todd Rundgren, with new interviews from the man himself and every one of his celebrated clients from Patti Smith, Badfinger and the New York Dolls to XTC and Meat Loaf. Invited musical artists will sing a selection of Rundgren songs in tribute.

Additionally, Miller and Myers will be joined by SF musician John Moremen, and an ace cast of L.A. musical guests including DJ Bonebrake (X), and a rotating backing unit lead by Taylor Locke (The Roughs, Rooney), and featuring Ned Brower (Rooney, Solo Artist), Louie Stephens (Rooney, Producer/Engineer), Chris Price (The Roughs, Price), Brandon Schwartzel (The Roughs, Rooney, FIDLAR), The Chapin Sisters, Mike Viola (Candy Butchers), soundtrack composer Lyle Workman, The Chapin Sisters, and Largo regulars Jon Brion and Aimee Mann.

Our ‘Not In My House Tour’ will be continuing starting on April 16 in Iowa City, IA! The Skybombers and Voxhaul Broadcast will be joining us on the road.

We are again offering special ticket packages to bring you lower ticket prices with great bonuses. If you buy your tickets through Rooney Tix, you can buy a ticket on its own, or buy the ‘Eureka Package’, which includes a signed copy of Eureka.
