Tibet

I’m currently sitting in the Beijing airport waiting for my flight. It feels like I haven’t been home in a while…and it’s only been 3 weeks. My trip to China has been filled with so many exciting moments. It has truly been an incredible adventure.
Tibet is a magical region. I really can’t describe it in this web journal. It’s so easy to assume that traveling to a place like Tibet is difficult, but it couldn’t be more simple. There is a direct flight from Beijing to one of the major cities called Xining, which is where I flew into. Tickets are expensive, like all international travel, but Beijing is easy to get to from anywhere in the world.
The Tibetan people are very friendly and innocent. They live simple lives. There is a modern influence in the region, but I spent most of my time traveling around to smaller villages where it feels more like an untouched culture. As primitive as it may seem, the cultural preservation is what makes it such a special and beautiful place. There’s a slow rhythm to life in Tibet and it’s something we all can learn from. I highly recommend you visit China and travel around to different regions.
I will share more of my trip with you, but it’s hard to describe what I felt in words.
Hope you are all doing well.
Love,
Robert
