I LOVE YOU GUYS!!! GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!<3<3<3
did anyone else do the pre-sale for the CD through the website? I thought I was going to get my copy in the mail today and definitely DID NOT! I was a bit upset! Wanted to know if anyone had the same problem. I've already paid for it and everything!
I've heard some of the songs and I've heard some of them live when I went to see the guys in Columbia, South Carolina. All these songs are really great! My favorite will probably be "Are You Afraid". "Paralyzed" is pretty good too. I love these guys!

Ok call me stupid, but where are the new songs? Don't get me wrong I like Queen, but to do a whole album of covers doesn't make any sense to me. Especially seeing as Roberts song writing is brilliant!!!
I've always been a pretty big Queen fan and I usually cringe at these types of albums with cover versions and shows like American Idol when they performed Queen songs. So yeah, predictably, most of this tribute album sucked, except I felt that Rooney really did "A Night At The Opera"'s opening track, "Death on Two Legs" justice. The guitars, backing vocals, pretty darn close to the original. My only complaint is that since the song was apparently about one of Queen's ex-managers that screwed them out of a lot of royalty money, Freddie of course sang it with a lot of anger and passion, which I would've liked to hear more in Robert's voice. But all in all, a great version.
Rooney's cover of "Death on Two Legs" is amazing. I love Sum 41's "Killer Queen" as well, but I am not a big fan of most of the other covers on that album.
A lot of effort has went into this cover to try an sound identical to the original....I agree, you can tell it's not Queen (it's a mistake to even try going down that road with a band as unique as Queen) and it leaves the listener disappionted that Rooney have not put their own spin on the track....
First of all, you can tell it's not Queen. Second of all, I don't think being to replicate the song exactly necessarily makes it a good cover. You've gotta manage to put your own style in it while remaining true to the spirit of the song. That being said, I think it's one of the better Queen covers I've heard. Not the best ever, or even the best on that album, but pretty damn good.
Yeah, it WAS the best on the album. Some were good, like The Flaming Lips, Sum 41, etc...but none of them GOT the feel of the song like Rooney got Death On 2 Legs. It was stupendous.
Death on Two Legs was by far the best cover of any Queen song I have ever heard. I played it for my parents (both diehard Queen fans) and they didn't even realize it wasn't their favorite band until I told them. Job well done.
