"Once there was a boogie singer / Playing in a rock and roll band / [...] / Yeah there was dancing / And singing / And moving to the grooving / And just when it hit me / Somebody turned around / And shouted // Play that funky music white boy / Play that funky music right / Play that funky music white boy / Lay down the boogie and play that funky music til you die"
Hah, sorry.'Twas stuck in my head. I guess it's kinda relevant... Play that funky music white boysss! Play that funky music RI-IGHTTTTTT! :D
i will be seeing you lovely boys TOMMORROW at the vic theatre, the same place the one and only BILLY CORGAN performed from his CD the future embrace. yep. that stage is epic. as are you guys.
haha no pressure ;)
Hey the show in Pontiac was wonderful! I can never tire of your shows and the meet and greets! I want there to be a great turn out just as much as you guys because you guys work so hard and deserve it! I have been spreading the word about Rooney every chance i get! In my speech class i did an impromptu speech on you guys and told them to check the band out! Long comment I know but I hope the rest of the tour goes great!
That might sound a bit selfish but i was happy to know you weren't playing on 16th October. My sweet sixteenth birthday :> Heh, i'm ashamed.
See you in Hamburg (i hope)
Man, you guys put on a hell of a show last night! I was quite surprised at the lack of people there, but I am so glad that you guys didn't let that faze you. I so wanted to wait around and meet you guys after the show, but, unfortunately, I had to be to work at the crack of dawn this morning (and I mean *the crack of dawn*!) and my sister and I had a long drive home. Thank you though for giving us such a good show (and for the waves and the "Hi" up to my sister and I in the balcony; you made our night!!!)
only TWO days till the chicago show! how convenient that seniors at my high school don't have school that day :)
...and i've been wanting badly to see the darjeeling limited but it's only playing in one very expensive theater around here about half an hour from my house...i'll have to make time for that.
were awesome last night! Even though it was a Sunday and icky outside, we had a blast! Thanks for taking pictures with us and good luck with the tour :)
Robert - I hope you don't mind my crazy boyfriend picking you up. He does the same to me. As he puts it, it's "easier for him to pick someone up to say hi than lean over." I guess at 6'4" that makes sense. I just think its hysterical. ;-)
You guys were awesome - it was great to see you! I realized Jason was there but didn't get to introduce myself. Hope he had as much fun as I did! Break a leg w/ the rest of the tour - and come back up to this area soon! :-D
I may sound like a creep, but I'll see you after class any day.
& I've offically amused myself with that title.
Anyway, hope the first show was amazing--cannot wait to see you guys Nov. 3 in Tucson.
My cousin's band is Calexico and they have a show that same night in the same town and I'll be missing it to see Rooney. hahha I hope I get some brownie points for that.
Also...shhh...don't tell my cousin.
Have a splendid day--tell Jason to show up at our show as well.
-adios-

p.s. saw The Darjeeling Limited--amazing. It was hilarious. Spread the word.
I live in Oklahoma CIty, but born and raised in LA. While you guys are going to be playing in Texas, I'm going to be visiting my family in Cali. Bummer for me.
But I'll survive, as long as you guys keep on making beautiful music. always and forever. Liz
that would be my friends and i. We got into Pontiac around 3pm, sat in a coffee shop, waited for a line to form, and then waited in the rain until the lead of the spree let us sit inside. It was good to see you boys again, another phenomenal show! We are going to a screening of Darjeeling Limited tonight! awesome weekend! thanks!
You guys were fantastic last night! I'm so glad that I got to see you guys again (last time was the summer of '04 at tastefest). Hope you guys have a great tour!
