Rooney

I have to say what is annoying is all the complaining about the album not coming out. Stop getting mad at the band, it's not like they are out to sabotage the record and that they hate us all. I highly doubt that. Things will happen when they happen. It's just getting tiresome hearing about all the complaining. Yes it has been a while. I have a picture from when they were advertising the cd coming out Spring 2005. C'est la vie. Complaining isn't going to make the album come out faster, or make the band update. Just keep cool people.

Well ..At HMV...they said their getting abit annoyed..because people keep asking, when is the cd coming out??? (at least the one up here) But yea its..odd of Rooney not to keep its fans posted..even with the video diaries...which is still a good idea..but still.....COME ON GUYS!!!

Actually, if I remember correctly, it was supposed to come out before spring of '06. I would just really like an update...they've never gone this long without giving us something, not in years, and if they have I don't recall.

I won't join with the fools who seem to take the absence of a new album personally - but it was anticipated in Spring '06, then Fall, now nothing, and it hasn't been addressed. The debut CD is still a joy, and I understand it takes a lot more than will and repertoire to produce a record - but some level of explanation would be appreciated, if less gratifying than an actual new disk. Can't say for legal reasons? Then tell us that. Silence lets people fill their heads with nonsense - such as the gathering notion that Rooney is creatively spent.

Rooney has apparently forgotten that WE are the ones that but their CD's so they better not make us mad. They never update. i swear it is a holy miracle if they do. Maybe they fell off a cliff? SRY if i sound mean, but this really annoys me! We all love rooney (Right?) they will not come to our towns or even update. HOW RUDE!!!!! i have been waiting 4 ever 4 da new album to come out, but NOOOOOOO they r being big meanie heads and saying they don't feel like outting it out!!!! AAGGGHHHH!!!!

Their album isn't being put out by Geffen. Their sites are notoriously unupdated.

I too am getting frustrated. There's no updates..I mean, hell, you log on to the website and it still says, "Album out this October" Okay fellas, it's almost the end of november here..unless of course you mean October 2007 or 2008...which by the way things are going, wouldn't shock me one bit. The album came out May of '03 when I was a junior in high school. Now? I'm a junior in college...I never thought it would be this long...

You guuuuys! I remember going to Lollapalooza in San Diego in like, 2003 and Rooney was playing "Paralyzed" and it was like, big news. FOUR YEARS LATER... (as in 2007), maybe it will be released. What have the boys been up to? I don't even know anymore.

i went to rooney's concert on saturday night... they said that it won't come out until next year. i'm sooo excited though! they played some of their new songs. they are truly fantabulous.

omg i went to their concert on friday night. holy freaking hell it was the best concert that i've ever been to and robert grabbed my hand! anyway ya they said that they were still working on it and it should come out soon. i am with all of you and i want the album to come out soon!

I was at the show in boulder on 11/9 and they announced they had one last song to record for the album and it should be by spring....pretty lame but te new songs sound great and if u look hard enough u can find them...have patience young ones !!!

i used to be such a huge fan of rooney and i still love them but you can only listen to the same songs so many times before you're sick of them. i went to a rooney show in highschool (back when they started talking of a new album) and still i'm waiting. they were all ready to release like a year ago but geffen decided they didn't like the songs (that's the story i heard) so it got cancelled so i guess we should all just forget about it for now and be super surprised when/if it ever comess out!

I relate to the person below me. Their cd came out my sophomore year of high school and I have been obsessed with the band since my freshmen year of high school. Now I'm in my second year of college, and I can't believe how long it's been. I'm not angry about the cd, just impatient. I would really like the band to tell us for themselves when the release date is. So, please please please just update us.

Good old days. I was obsessed with Rooney when I was just entering high school. Now I'm in college. And they still haven't put out another album. Sob.

I talked to them at their Atlanta show - everybody's right - Robert said it should be out in or around February or March. I'm going to their MPLS Show tonight! SO STOKED! And yeah, they did play some new stuff at their concert - so it's going to be a GREAT album, and definitely worth the wait if you ask me!

Yeah, I was at their Cleveland show on Saturday, and they said next year in the spring. So we've got to wait yet - but they did play new stuff at the concert!

All those dumb broads that said "omg I talked to Rooney and they said their album was coming out in September" can kiss my damn feet. I totally called it.

Dude, why can't you just order the album online when it comes out? (whenever that may be) even though you don't live in america doesn't mean you can't oreder things from America by mail.

It's amazing! I envy because, I can't buy Rooney's Brandnew album, because I'm not in america..oh my god.I'm so sad..

Wikipedia says that the album will be out in early 2007 as well. I just really want to know. I really got my hopes up for the 10/10 release because I really thought it was going to happen. Now, I just really want to know when the album is next going to come out.

It would be best for you to think of this album as cancelled, so that when it finally does come out you can be all surprised and say 'Oh but it was cancelled! I didn't think it was ever coming out! I am SO surprised!'
