Forgive me if the answer to my question isn't known or has previously been asked (I couldn't figure out how to search these boards like the old ones...man, those old ones were 10x better), but I saw that on a recent setlist, Rooney played "Why Try." I'm assuming this is the old song of theirs, but I wanted to know if it's going to be on the new album. I know a while ago, Matt had said they were going to put some oldies on their new cd, but can it really be that they're putting "Why Try" on the new cd? I think I would just about die if they did.

yeah there was an older song called why try, but there is a new one on this cd called why try and its totally different. It's like an anti-war song.

I love rooney , but...

Rooney rox, #1 band, love them more than zepplin. but when is their CD COMING OUT? OMFG!!! by da by. why try, is a pretty cool song, but a remix may be cool to! as long as rooney sings it, i am cool.

I about died when they said, "This next song is called Why Try." It was such a letdown when I actually heard it! The new one is pretty sick, though. I wish someone would've bootlegged it.

They played it at their show in Seattle/Auburn. I was confused at first because I thought it was 'Why' but it's completely different.

ok...

the one you're thinking of is just called "why." that is the official title of it. since they say "why try" a lot throughout the song, fans just thought it was called "why try." the *new* song is called "why try" and it is completely different than the old song, "why." got it?

From what I remember, this is actually a new song and they named it Why Try to screw with us. I haven't heard it, but that is what Ned told me a while ago.
