So...when does everyone go back to school? , those still in school.
I went back the 15th. I have pretty easy classes this year.
ceramics accounting study hall band speech psych and bio 2.
I'm pissed off though cuz im in study hall and the damn school has myspace blocked on all the comps. So if you have started school already, tell me how its going! -cas.
i must have been pretty lost, cause i've only just learned 'bout rooney 3 days ago and am now going nuts. just mailed my sister in london that they'll be going there...too bad for me, im in the philippines.cheers-pope
... but can one of you please answer these questions for me that may appear strange, but make perfect sense to me?
1.) In 12th grade, what subjects does a student who is good at English but a bit poor at Math take?
2.) What is the highest mark you can get on the SATs? How many sections are there, and what are they called?
3.) What is the average score for each section?
4.) How good would your score have to be to get into a good uni, like an Ivy League?
Whoever answers these questions for me gets a big, fat, imaginary cookie! Hurrah!
i had to go back this week monday. can't put it in words how much i hate it. =( i finished school 1,5 years ago and started to go to university (wanted to become a teacher for primary school). but it didn't work out the way i wanted it to be, so one month ago i started as an apprentice and on monday, 4th was my first day back in school. the feeling is ill: i work on the wrong side of the classroom. =(
..on August 14th. I just started a master of technology education in computer technology, or whatever the correct translation would be. The first two years have kinda crappy subjects, though - lots of maths and some physics. Descrete mathematics, anyone? Oh, and a lot of the literature is in English, which kinda makes it even more complicated. Aanyways.. The real stuff starts tomorrow, though, we've had this stupid "Techno Start" for the first two weeks. I'm looking forward to normalcy and some routine.
Yup, this whole year. And probably even after I can drive. I don't want to have to pay for gas. My school's on the campus of Cal State L.A. and I live about 40 minutes from there. Since my parents work they can't drive me there every morning. Plus I'll have rehearsals after school so it's just easier for me to take the metro. It's actually not really a hassle. I pick up the metrolink like 5 minutes from my house. And it stops right on campus. Plus a lot of other students take it to my school, so I'll have people to talk to and hang out with. --Natalie
The Metrolink? What a pain. I did that the first like month and a half of college last year and had to get up at 4:30 two days a week and 5:30 the other two days. It was torture. Are you going to commute all year?
I'm taking the bus to school this year cause the gas prices are sooo high, and I have to be at the bus stop by 6:20 am, get there around 6:30, and have to stay outside in the hotness until the bell rings at 7:10. Tis crazy.
I started the 14th, but since I'm a senior school has a few more benefits. Except I have 2 college classes 1st period and having to get to school before 7:30 is just evil. I'm definitely not a morning person.
there's a few guys here. they don't post much anymore. they posted more on the old boards. as for the age thing... i'm 22, and i know a few other people here are around that age, as well. so don't sweat it.
1st of all I feel weird seeing that most people on this thread are younger than I am- and I think they are all female too. Anyways I guess I'm gettin old. But I started my last year in college on the 21st.
I'm starting at a real college on the fifth. (I already did two years at a junior college, or as I like to call it, High School with ashtrays). The first thing I have to do on the first is try to add a class that's "full". Definitely excited...ha.
it is fun for my school cause I got to help last year, and we have some really, really good poets, and the bad ones are funny to read, cause they just suck that much.
Selecting poems for a lit mag is so not as cool as it seems.
You get far more awful shit than good. I start next Monday. I've got two classes, creative non-fiction writing (with a super hot teacher) and brit lit 2. I can finally get my aa with emphasis in creative writing this semester. omg.

I went back August 4th. So far, I love Junior year. My classes (history, algebra 2, ap english language and composition, art 3, intro to journalism, genetics/zoology, and desktop publishing/creative writing) are great, and I don't dread any of them. I get to help select poems/proofread them for the lit mag, and do the arts/graphics for the school newspaper. Yay.
senior year has alot of promise, however about 4 of my closest friends graduated. but besides that it should be good. for your myspace lackings, there is always a way to get around school blocks. i think the much beloved website at my school is stupidcensorship.com
I begin September 5th....I actually can't wait though. I'm just in a two year college course for now making art and learning it's history. Should be fun.

but i was out of town so i started on the 15th. My year so far hasn't been a good one because when I got back home from my first day I found out that my parents had to have my childhood dog put to sleep. She was almost 15 and I was only 2 when we got her. Yeah, so school has sucked for me so far because I've been to sad to concentrate.
i go back on september 5. i'm not taking easy classes, though. tomorrow is my last day of my summer class, though. i had to retake stats because i failed it last semester. it pretty much blows a lot of ass. i'm not failing it this time, though, so that's a plus.
