I recently finished a book that was so beautiful , so passionate that I think all of you should have a chance to read it. It's called Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts and it is purely amazing. Gregory David Roberts wrote it while he was finishing out a prison sentence for armed robberies after having escaped and after he made a free medical clinic for slum dwellers in Bombay and working for the mafia, among other things. It's a long read (about 930 pages), but it's well worth it. Use this thread to recommend other books if you like. --Natalie
since school is starting. Another Bullshit Night in Suck City by Nick Flynn is a good one. It's creative non-fiction memoir stuff that's all the rage right now.
