Sorry, I know this thread has absolutely nothing to do w/ Rooney, but who's excited for HP & The Half Blood Prince to come out November 21st!? I'm going to the midnight showing lol -- along with Rooney, I'm a big HP fan, anyone else?

One word: Amazing.

It opened with Jeffrey Jones the guy who plays Ed Rooney and the secretary lady.

One issue: The lame-o Jonas Brothers deemed it necessary to bring their funky selves to the show and disrupt the audience. :[ Me and my friend booed them and got the evil eye from about half crowd. Go us!

i saw ratatat again last night and was once again blown away by their set.
their 3rd album is amazing and their synchronicity live is fantastic.
they are pretty much so talented it's making me jealous.


everyone should go out and see them on their upcoming tour.

I was watching tv last night at like 2am and then i see Zooey Deschanel on MTV U! I was like whaaa? yeah she's in a band! it's called She & Him and its pretty good, it has a coconut records/ 70s vibe and the video for "Why Do You Let Me Stay Here?" is hilarious! so enjoy, she has an amazing voice! : )

my new Nylon came in the mail today and when i saw Mischa on the cover, i figured Taylor would be mentioned at some point during the interview. sure enough, she quotes something he said about her being on Maxim's hot 100 and they acknowledge him as her boyfriend. it's a very brief mention, but i figured i'd bring it up just for kicks.

so i just got my pictures from the meet & greet developed ( thank god i brought a disposable camera to the concert!, my digitals battery died out in the middle of it!) & i'm in such a good mood from seeing this pictures. I was just wondering if anyone knows if Rooney is going to make a new album containing some of their lost songs that were made in between the first album and calling the world. i heard a rumor about it, but it wasn't confirmed...

They played "I'm Shakin'" for 30 seconds at the Milwaukee Brewers game on Monday night... I just thought it was cool!

So just got in a bit ago from the show and I can say I had a blast.

First off, I am now a fan of THE BRIDGES! They were really good. They all looked so friendly and lively on stage. I have a really sweet story that I'll finish in a bit.

Locksley I was eh with. Probably only because there was a group of young girls next to me that INSISTED on screaming everytime a band member walked to the end of the stage. But they do have an AMAZING stage presence which made for a good set even though I was not familiar with their songs.

And the main event:

I was lucky to get a barricade spot right in front of Robert so I had a perfect view of everyone. Unfortunately House of Blues is so anal about cameras that all my pics were taken on my phone = not so good quality. Bummer, I know. They opened with "Blueside" but I was not able to steal a setlist so it gets hazy after that but they did play(as best of order as my brain can remember):

Ned did vocals for "The Weight" and "Rockin' in the Free World" in that song Rob played drums while Louie played guitar (which was a nice sight :]). I had asked them to play "Daisy Duke" like 4 or 5 different times and I am about 95% he said it was for me but the girl beside me screamed right when he started talking and I only heard the ending. But as soon as they played the first chords I yelled "Woo Daisy Duke yes!!" something along those lines then he said "___ is for you. And I know you're out there cuz I heard you yelling." So maybe I was imagining it but my sister said she thought she heard it to so I don't know. ha ha Also I am proud to say I am pretty sure I was the only one who knew the words to "I Don't Think So" (which I thought was called "Pin Me Up"?) We had a lil moment during that song because I imagine no one else was singing.

So after the show was the lame-o meet and greet but we took my niece who is 10 and she REALLY wanted to meet them so we headed over. At which she decided to tell Rob "Hey you're in The Princess Diaries, huh?" he responded, "Why yes, yes I was!" I just laughed it off because I figured she's young and that is how she associated who he was.

So we went over to The Bridges merch table but I had only $9 and their CD was $10 which I mentioned to them while I was taking a picture . They all were bummed and offered to chip in the other dollar. I'm thinkin I'm not make them pitch in for me to buy their cd. ha ha So I stepped to the side to rummage my purse for change I found 60 cents. :[ Then Natalie walked over to me and says "I have a dollar we really don't mind." (awww, I know , right?) But then my sis found another 50 cents. I handed it to her and SUCCESS I had the cd. Seriously, sweetest people I have ever met.

Ok I think this is really long and there is probably some rambling. Sorry. But anyways great show minus the issue with my camera.

And I am now about 80% positive I'm going to drive out to the show in Anaheim

Oh before I forget, I told Natalie that Stacey (sp?) and Erin speak very highly of them and she blushed and said to say "Hi".

Do they exist? I tried searching for one online because all my Rooney CDs are signed and I needed something new for them to sign. If they don't exist, they should. When I saw Augustana a few weeks back they were selling vinyls of their new album for only $10. It was awesome.

So there I am watching them last night here in San Diego.

I'm digging it. I'm singing along. Then out of nowhere Robert drops a new lyric in the second verse:

I like it. Not for the sake of just dropping the word "fu*k" in a rooney song, but it just works better in the context of the song (especially with the sex toy line at the end). Kind of like how "drugs" was the original lyric in Simply Because as opposed to "trust". Minor changes that paint a more interesting story.

Has this been going on for awhile in other shows?

So I just saw a teaser commercial for the new 90210. Very bizzare.

I have no idea if this is a new or old episode that i'm watching... but, "What For" was just played on Gossip Girl. I rarely watch this show and stopped on it for a few minutes. No more than two minutes later (and about 1 minute after getting on this website) did they play What For. Coincidence? :)

Has there been any pushing going on? Or do you have your own personal space?

I was just curious because my show is Thursday and I know every show is different as far as the crowds go.

well last night i had the most ultimate rooney experience. i met and took pics with matt, robert and taylor before the show. I got there like maaaybe 4 hours before the doors opened, and they were pretty nice. Mischa barton was also there, looking like a top model and NOTHING like she does in the tabloids. everyone was kinda staring her down like they wanted to spit on her, i , on the other hand wanted to go up to her to express to her she inspires my outfits daily (well, most days..sometimes she goes too native american for me). shes really pretty and really tall. once inside, i was front row center. the crowd was a lil skeptical when the bridges were playing, but i enjoyed their music and they all had some cute outfits on. Locksley followed, they did an AWESOME job and pumping the crowd up. I met them later that night and they were sweeeeeeties, too bad there were some girls around them trying to trade birthcontrol for a tshirt (i think they were on something) and making complete jackasses of themselves. ANYWAY, rooney was amazing, as expected. Robert seemed way more into the show this time.When they opened up for the spree, the stage was really congested and i wasnt feeling it too much. THEN in the middle of the show they bust out the ROONEY flag and robert HANDS IT TO ME. I guess cause i didnt stop jumping. singing.dancing. throughout the beginning of the show. so i started waving the flag, but it got pretty heavy and i didnt wanna obscure the crowds vision of ned, matt or robert AND i was kinda hitting some girls accidently, which i think heavily annoyed them. but, whatever i appologized AND theyd be doing the same if they had the flag. When the show ended, we waited like 20 min and met locksley then robert cameout. there werent too many people around him, everyone was pretty chill. then ned followed a little rushed, but i was able to get 2 pics with him, because he didnt like the way he came out in one of them. then i got all of them to sign my details mag. except LOUIS!!! which totally bummed me out because he was the only signature and pic i was missing and scotty was bitchin at 'bob' to book it and get on the bus.. so i asked robert if louis was still on the bus and he said he'd tell him to come out. then. like a knight in shining armour, louis appeared. he was really nice and remembered us by saying, "oh you girls were the ones in the front" which was pretty flippin sweet. all in all, i got all my shit signed and i got some pics. which was totally worth waiting and getting jacked those 75 bucks when i was supossed to see them with the jb and then the venue pulled them. no grudges. oh! and robert also said this was the last CTW tour, then they were gonna head to cali and take a break. GOOD THOSE DUDES NEED SOME SERIOUS TIME OFF!!! so...yea the end! oh, ill post the pics on my myspace when ive finished uploading. they are quite delicious.

Hey guys - I read the boards pretty often, but don't post. A lurker. Anyway, I have a 2 part merchandise question.

I don't know if it's just my computer wigging out or what, but can anyone else access the online store? When I click the Merch link, it takes me there, but nothing at all is listed. Just wanted to see if anyone else got that...

Second part is that at the last show I went to, they had the shirt that just has ROONEY scribbled in all caps like three or four times down the front. Problem was that it was in pink, and I wanted the white w/black. Has anyone seen that one available in the online store? I am so picky with concert t-shirts and rarely buy them, but I saw people who had gotten them (at earlier shows I guess) and really liked that one. The pink bummed me out - it just wasn't the same!

Usually with concert videos on youtube, it's either great sound and bad video quality or horrible sound and awesome video quality. There is no trade-off with these. I was stoked when I saw them and have totally have stalked the Poppers986 channel on youtube - for those who havent seen them yet, I definitely recommend checking them out. So Poppers986 - I'm the one who commented u about a billion times hahah. So - hey!
