I met the Arcitic Monkeys by getting to the venue they were playing at five hours early and I only met Jamie, but Alex Turner walked by us and by the time we realized it was him it was too late.

And I met James after their show, when my friends and I were waiting for my parents and he came out of his tour bus and talked to us for like two mintues and then he went back into his tour bus to eat his pho, lol.

I've been to a Jillians in Indy before. We played pool. It wasn't as fun as I thought it would be. haha.

Wait, you met Peter Cetera?? I danced to "Glory of Love" at my wedding. Gotta love the 80's.

it was at the jillian's in kentucky like right over the border of cincinnati. i think that had i not been intoxicated it wouldn't have been as much fun.

i weirdly enough actually got to be peter cetera's dresser two years ago for a music festival. he brought a 20 minutes video montage of him with chicago and then him solo and got mad when we shortened it to 7 minutes. he also wore a purple velveteen jacket.

hahaha.... I can just imagine him getting pissed about that. Too funny. He made up for it by wearing a purple jacket i'm sure.

My experience was strange at Jillians. I learned that one of my friends was a lesbian and Jillians. She came back from the bathroom and said she just made out with another girl in a stall. I just wanted to get the hell out of there at that point. Instead, we stayed and played pool and had a friend that was old enough buy us alcohol. That made up for it I suppose. haha.

I should mention that meeting so many country artists was largely due to the fact that I had quite the set of balls (so to speak) when I was a kid.

See, my mother would get a floor seats for many country artists and then at the end when everyone got up and was invited to come up to the front and stand by the stage... i'd book it. I was small and all of the adults would think I was cute so they'd help me get to the front so I could see whoever and touch their hands. After the show a lot of the time i'd have someone who worked for the band or a radio station and say "hey! I saw you out there having fun! Would you like to meet (blank)?" I once crawled on the ground to get up by the stage for one band. Another time I weasled my way by where the busses were and saw a popular country artist in his PJ's. He waved and that just made my night. haha. My favorite story is when I wanted pictures of a certain male country star (I would be naming names but i'm sure no one would know who i'm talking about). I got out of my seat and went up to the front of the stage. I stood kind of off to the side so I wasn't blocking anyones view. I took pictures and then bopped to the music, singing all the words. The guy kept smiling at me and waving. I must have been a cute kid or something. A cop told me once that I need to go sit down. I pretended that I didn't hear him. A few minutes later he told me again. Again, I ignored him. I looked over at my mom and she mouthed to me "just stay!" So, I did. Eventually the cop came and grabbed my hand and made me go back to my seat. Damn him. I was just having fun.

Thom from Switches spells him name with an 'h' I don't know why though. I guess it comes from Thomas, but I just though I'd let you know.
But I love him too, lol, when I met him and the pen didn't work, both him and Matt said "Bloody Hell"

Re: Re: cool people that you've met

I've met most of the people in these bands:

Rooney
Maximo Park
The Shins
Arctic Monkeys
Voxtrot
The Redwalls
Editors
The Moog
Spoon
Switches
Mystery Jets
I kind of met James from Klaxons

And I get to meet the lead guitarist (PJ Decicco) of Armor for Sleep this weekend
:D

And I smiled at Jimmy Eat World's roadie, lol.

Re: I feel lame...

My cool moments seem really lame compared to everyone else's...

- Rooney (except Taylor, he's never outside of the Cradle after shows)
- Katie Holmes (pre-Tomkat, when she was on Dawson's Creek)
- that guy that plays "Mouth" on One Tree Hill and Tyler Hilton (I don't know "Mouth's" real name. The two of them stood next to me at a concert .)
- Emily Proctor from CSI (She came in a store I was working as a gift wrapper as. She's really nice and a fellow North Carolinian.)
- Gavin DeGraw

Aaah, you met BRMC?! That is so cool, what were they like?

I've met Rooney, but I don't think I've met anyone else that you guys would have heard of. I met a couple of people from the Australian soap Neighbours lol - Ben Nicholas who played Stingray and Stephanie McIntosh who played Sky. And I met two people from one series of UK Big Brother :P how do you guys manage to meet all these people?!
