Jill and Graham

How was your show?

Mine was good and bad. Good in the sense that all in all the bands were great but the people there sucked and it took the venue 10 minutes to find my tickets. We waited in line for about an hour and a half before the let us in and wouldn't let me get my tickets at will call early. In the end, all of the young girlies with their Jonas Brothers backpacks ended up in the front and we were behind them. I had a not so good time honestly. Rooney was fantastic and the opening bands were pretty good. The whole experience was something that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy though.

Hope your show was much better.

That said, I was really happy with my position at the Chicago show. My friend and I - both well over 21 - were able to sit on bar stools along a railing that overlooked the pit/floor. So, not only were we above the fray, we were comfortable, close to the bar, and had perfect visibility. We also were just outside the entrance from the bar to backstage, so we saw a lot of to/fro from people with those special ID's...I'm sure some of them were girlfriends, as they looked malnourished and were super glammed up. Before the show Taylor walked by and I said "OMIGOD! TAYLOR!!!" Just kidding, I just said, "Hi, Taylor" and he turned around, waved and smiled and continued on back stage to "prepare" for the show, no doubt.

Anyway, I've thought MANY times about blogging about show etiquette...god knows I've had my share of nice and not-so-nice experiences. In the end, you gotta try to shut out the idiots that may surround you....they can't be all that bad, as they're at the same show, right? Then again...

A show etiquette post?! Good idea! haha.

I saw Ned and a few guys from the crew walk out of the main doors and to the van parked right in front of the building. No one else flinched but I told the people I was with... "there goes Ned..." He grabbed something out of the van and then took a cab around the block.

I was able to smile much more once Rooney came out. I always do my "solo dancing" haha. I keep myself entertained. Eventually the girls around me got the hint that I wasn't going to let them go anywhere and that the guy behind me was my husband and he's kinda a big guy which probably scared these girls. haha. We told Matt (husband) that he was our personal area bouncer. hahaha.

Do you go to Disneyworld or Disneyland?

I went to Disneyworld in 1987, 1991, and 1995 with my family (and extended family.) And then I went this past January with the husband.

Disneyland for the first time in 2004. Then I had an annual pass in 2005, 2006, and 2007. I miss that place.

aww...i go to both. i first went to disneyland when i was 3. i have lots of family that live in laguna niguel. i didn't start going to wdw till i was in college.

i think i have been to disney parks a total of about 25 times. yay!

as i said, i've only been to wdw 4 times. but disneyland is over 200 times.

I think we've decided that we want to go to DL for a few days and then WDW for about 5 days on our next trip. I really want to see where it all started.

We're going to try to make a trip out to california this fall or winter for a few days. At least two days in the parks. (although I'd prefer 3.) And then two days to spend with family.

As far as WDW...it probably won't be until January 2010. This time we did 5 fulls days in the parks. I'd like at least that much this time. But I'd also like a day in the middle to just relax at the hotel and/or explore the other hotels.

Nobody is happier than us. It just means they'll be around for a long time which means more shows and more albums.

I thought you were leaving.

Re: Now where were we

I didn't get to respond due to a brief distraction.

I'm sorry you had a lousy experience. Our venue was hotter than the fire that burns in Meggo's ass.

We still had a good time. That meet and greet line was a little rediculous. I understand they have to do their best to meet everybody but it would be nice to have it be like the old days. Matt was nice enough to come over and say hi to Jill which I thought was really nice of him. This was the first Rooney show I've ever paid for. Insane!

Sugartits, I've known of Rooney since before they were Rooney. I was there when Robert was scouting out a lead guitarist right before he chose Matt (whom I remain friends with to this day) so I can safely say you've not been in the know as long as I have.

This is the part where you shut up and take a walk.

P.S. I've been singing along to the Beatles since before you were swimming around in your dad's nuts.

Are you serious? some of us here discovered rock and roll before you were born.

I doubt you've even been a rooney fan that long. What...since 2005? 2006? The earliest would be 1999. I'm pretty sure everyone here "discovered rock and roll" before that.

ANYWAYS-i'm just really sick of people always finding something wrong with rooneys shows. especially in michigan since they rarely come around.

ok well sorry the guy was an asshole- he gets paid minimum wage and has to deal with shitheads all day. on another note- it also bothers me that people let younger fans hinder their good time at a show. You were their age once and acted the same ways. if you remember that then you would think that its even more immature to hate on them. you're no better then them, they are fans too.

but i wont deny that with any band, when you follow them from the beginning, it's always hard to see more and younger fans coming in every year.

Correction: No one complained about Rooney's shows until AFTER the Jonas Brother tours. Who the fuck are you?

Why are you so aggressive? If you had come in here nicely stating that you disagreed and that you were just happy that they came close by for a change, there is definitely a way to say that without being a complete bitch about it. You came onto this board bitching way louder than anyone else and that's the only reason you got jumped all over. You should re-read your posts and think about what you say before you post it because you completely contradicted yourself in that last post. Calm down a little instead of getting so worked up about someone whose opinion differs from yours or you'll give yourself a heart attack before you turn 21.

I really shouldn't respond to this because it was an immature post to begin with but, I do feel the need to say something.

I think you totally got the wrong idea by my post. I went into it being very optimistic and ready to have a good time. I did NOT just stand around and not move. I actually did my little "solo dance" and sang along. Just because I wasn't pushing people to get to the front or smacking people with my arms while yelling out "I love Michael Moscovitz." Yes, I heard that screamed in my ear. The show itself was great. I never said it wasn't. Also, I never bitched about having to stand in line. I knew I would have to stand in a line to get inside. Duh! It was the fact that I standed in line for a long time while other people got their late and still felt the need to try and weasel their way past myself, husband, and friends all so they could try and touch Robert's hand. I had no problem with the venue itself. It was fine. I did feel that everyone in general was very nice. I only had a problem with the way a guy responded to me when asking about getting my will call tickets. He just could have been a little nicer - that's all. If you had a great time... great! More power to you. I'm not going to assume anything about you and who you are. I think you took my post completely out of context and twisted it so you had something bitchy to say. If you're coming on this board to look for someone to agree with you... you're not going to find it.

Hey guess what?

No one cares what you think.

You're obviously one of those girls who are wearing Jonas Brothers merch to a damn ROONEY concert.

Maybe you need to tell you an your little posse to read their tix next time.

And who ever told you it was "FUN" to act crazy at a show?

Here's an idea:

Some people are there to actually enjoy and listen to the music and are not just there to gawk at "How cute Robert is!"
