High-Waisted Shorts?? Yes, please!
Anyone find a decently priced pair of high waisted shorts anywhere? I bought a cute pair at Target for $25.00. I want a denim pair now but I can't seem to find any. I went to Charlotte Russe's website (where I normally don't shop at all) and found lots of them. I'll have to check that store out next time i'm at the mall. Anyone else have any ideas of where to find high-waisted shorts?
On a related note... I found this while searching for high-waisted shorts on google. It's Rooney related... It bashes Mischa but I think she looks great!

I found an awesome pair at Forever 21. If they had one size bigger I would have been in heaven but sadly they only had small and x-small. I'm not the type to starve myself to fit into something. I'm hoping they'll stock back up.
I have a fashion vision for the Radiohead concert I'm going to next sunday. fingers crossed.
did you try calling another location and seeing if they have it there?
Ummmmm so I just put together what I thought was a response to your thread and I guess by accident I reported you? Uuh yeah I clicked the wrong button hahahaah.
What the message was supposed to say was that I'm not really that concerned with it to call around to stores to find the shorts.
If I'm meant to wear high waisted shorts I'll stumble upon some eventually.

Forever 21 stocks pants for tiny tiny people. Pre-teens or something. I can't buy their jeans. Not only because of the sizes but because of the fact that their jeans are the skinny jeans. Ya know... with the tapered ankle. I look TERRIBLE in those
I don't wear their jean pants because they never fit my butt right.
But I their high waisted shorts actually looked really good, I just needed a medium...I'm repeating myself.

Is that what its called? Yeah, I can't pull it off. And, anyone over a size 4 just shouldn't touch it. I'm not even close to a 4 so I've gotta have some kind of miracle to wear those pants.
I like some flare to my jeans... to match the flare to my ass.

We call those Mom-Shorts where I come from.
There's a difference in the cut. They're bringing back high waisted in a totally doable way.
So many places say you have to be tall and skinny to wear them. I say "Fuck that!" I hated the low-rise trend because it just didn't work for my body. I'm 5'5" and very curvy. I love high-waisted shorts because they are tight at my waist which is where i'm smaller. I've got big hips and these don't make me look like i've got a muffin top even though I don't.
I was just joshing. I'm not a fan of the muffin top.
I'm ready for the "Camel Toe Revolution!"
People think I'm joking but I swear Toe is coming back in the worst way. Before it was all about showing a little bit of crack out back. Now it's about showing some up front.
You heard it here first. It will be a fashion trend.
**shudder**
HAHA! Yeah if the "camel toe" became a trend I wouldn't be able to participate (nor would I want to) because my vag would be in some serious pain.

I will not be wearing high waisted shorts.
A) I would look too much like a mom. B) They would draw attention to my huge gut.
HAHA... you don't have a gut my dear. Not at all. I have more chunk on my hips than on my gut and those shorts are the most comfortable thing. I don't like lowrise because it squishes the fat on my hips. haha. I get frustrated at ladies at stores that try and put me in too small of sizes in pants. They always say "you're a size 5, right?" Uhh... no. My hips cause my pant size to go up like 2 or 3 sizes. The saleswomen always have a muffin top and i'll be damned if they make me have one.
I do actually have a bit of a gut these days. But it doesn't really matter because I don't wear trendy clothes at all. I buy pretty much all my clothes at department stores and places like Kohl's. I also no longer shop in the juniors department. I'm into the "mom" clothes now. I'm all about my super comfortable jean shorts from kohl's and my $7 t-shirts from kohl's. That's pretty much going to be my uniform this summer.
edit: wow, that's a long, incomprehensible link. second thought, it's probably easier to go to urbanoutfitters.com and click on woven tops then click on view 60 per page and it's the striped 70s blouse with the high waisted shorts. super hot.

I feel bad for her. Not because of the cellulite, because I think most (or at least a lot of) women have it, but because people are making such a big deal out of it. l
I feel similar to you. I just think it's funny that people make such a huge deal out of it.
Yeah it is sort of funny. I read somewhere that she's going to get liposuction on her thighs since people give her such a hard time about her "big thighs" and cellulite. Lol. It's sad. And a little amusing.
liposuction doesn't get rid of cellulite. a lot of times it makes the cellulite more noticable. so good luck to her.

Re: high-waisted shorts
i think mischa looks good in them, most of the high-waisted pants & shorts i've seen all have the sailor look to them, which is very cute, everyone can't wear them, but if you have the right body then go ahead because they're really cute. another trend to look into gladiator sandals- now this has been going on for a while now, but a really want a pair!!

Re: ....
I don't particularly like the shorts mischa is wearing, but I think high wasted shorts are cute. I probably couldn't wear them, but maaaybe. I think if they're done the right way they can look good. I looked at a few websites, but couldn't find any... I'd think Gap and places like that would probably have them soon, too, but maybenot.
