So...

What CDs do you all recommend right now? I've recently bought MGMT, the new Death Cab, new Sloan, new Fratellis... I have the Bridges' new album on order, too. Any other suggestions?

At present, Taylor is trying his hand at "rock'n'roll," but for those who watched this boy's career as I have--it is impossible not to look at that bone structure and think, "What if?"

The Kooks are amazing, they are one of my favorite bands. Switches are really good too. Both of them are great live.

haha yeah i saw the kooks again two days ago and switches two weeks ago

Haha, I saw The Kooks exactly three weeks ago and I am seeing Switches in three days.

nylon tour? the virgins are great too, oh and danny masterson, agyness deyn, some guys from the bravery, and thurston moore were at the one i went too. have fun it'll be a great show!!

yep, I am excited for it. Haha, you saw a lot of musicians at the show. I have a feeling I won't be seeing as many.

i did a doubletake when i saw danny masterson, i was able to catch him on one of my videos. lol

Haha, that's awesome. I've never recognized anyone at concerts (except for the actual bands playing). The lead singer of Death Cab for Cutie was at The Cribs show though, but I couldn't go to that because it was 21+. I thought it was cool though because the lead singer of The Cribs was telling me before the show how he hoped Ben Gibbard would come because they toured together.

I think they've just toured here in March or something. So far I'm really into the title track, "Bones" of course and "Spiders", but the other songs are quite good, too.

Your Vegas is an amazing band.
Everyone should check them out.
They released their debut album in April, so they are still a fairly new band.

Here's their myspace:

I have Steel Train's "Trampoline" which I love. :)

Their older stuff has a little bit of a different sound and Scott did the vocals.

If you don't want to buy the whole EP you at least have to buy "Blown Away". It's such a good song and I PROMISE you won't be disappointed.

I recommend Steel Train's EP, For You My Dear. If you're into that kind of music.

Or Liam and Me. I don't know if they have an album out because they are unsigned but they are really fun. Like music you can dance to. Check out their myspace if you're interested

You're the skankass!

The only one out of your list that I've listened to is Rogue Wave... and only one song. It's in the movie Just Friends and it's called "Eyes". Love that one.

Don't have Mraz's new CD... that's added to my list for sure, I have his other ones.

How many days now? ;)

Re: .

Yo skankass.
Do you got the new Mraz? It's way more mellow than his other cd's but still good.

I asked for the same thing recently on the lj and was recommended Apples in Stereos, Birdie Busch, Black Kids, Fleet Foxes, Girltalk, Cut Copy, Jamie Cullum, Jamie Liddell, and Rogue Wave to me.

Haven't listened to most of them yet, but I got super cool lj friends, as you would know, so this list should be legit.

I bought the new Alanis album which is good.

I really love Gavin DeGraw so I always recommend him.. especially his "Chariot-Stripped" album. So good!
