Default Rooney (UK)

Will you pleeeeeease come to the UK and if possible Swansea or Cardiff, Wales. I love the band and have ever since I saw you on The OC so I'm just wondering if you'll ever visit the UK for a tour again or soon.

So this isn't related to Rooney lol but do you live in Swansea by chance? I'm thinking about doing a study abroad program there next spring.

Awesome! So this may sound like a dumb question lol but how do you like living there? Any cool places in town or nearby to visit/hang out at? I'm either doing the program in Swansea or I'm doing one in London, right now I'm kind of debating between the two.

It's okay. The weather sucks but that's the entire of the UK. There are lot of places with nice views, a load of beaches which are beautiful. The night life is amazing and there can be a lot of things to do. You'll find Swansea is a lot cheaper than London so you'd be able to do more here. It's all personal preference though.

Yay for UK Rooney fans I actually run the Rooney UK MySpace but a) hardly anyone uses MySpace nowadays and b) I haven't really had all that much news to update it with, since no one in the UK can buy the new EP (without difficulty!)...I can't wait til Rooney do a new European tour! I've seen them twice, once in London, once in Birmingham, and they were amazing both times. Can't wait to see them again!

Yeah, the cost of living is really the main deciding factor for me. I'd love to be in London, but I don't want all the added expense (that and I would spend all day at Topshop instead of class lol). Thanks so much for the advice!

I'm thinking of studying at Swansea myself for my Masters next year...need to apply soon really! London is definitely a lot more expensive than the rest of England - living costs, transport costs, prices when you go out. But I wouldn't worry too much about missing out on Topshop, there's quite a few of those all over England!

There's quite a good Topshop in Swansea, and there's another one about 30 minutes away from that in a place called Trostre Park in Llanelli with a few more things. You won't be lost for places to shop at in Swansea, that's for sure.

Swansea is a great place to live really, shops wise, just entertainment wise it's lacking unless you're 18 (which I am in 5 months).

It is a shame they haven't really been fully recognised in the UK. What EP is this? Calling The World? I have two of their albums I didn't know there was (if there's) a third! I want to go to see them live so badly so I'm quite jealous of you right now, connathan. :P

The EP is called The Wild One EP, and they released it fairly recently - I've only managed to get a copy because someone on the forum kindly agreed to buy an extra copy at a show in America and post it to me, but I think they intend to sell the songs on iTunes at some point so everyone can get hold of it. Don't know if that's all iTunes stores, or just the American one though. I hope Rooney come back soon, and then we will both be able to see them live haha they put on a good show!
