we spent the day cutting 2 of 4 bonus acoustic tracks which will be available on the Eureka! deluxe edition. enjoy a couple snaps from the session in the studio photo section. everything is coming together…video is in the can, art work is done, looking into touring options for the summer. can’t wait to get back out and see everyone. until then…

Los Angeles quartet Rooney are very proud to announce the release of their new album, EUREKA. Produced and crafted entirely by the band, EUREKA will be released June 8th on California Dreaming Records through Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group. The follow-up to Rooney’s two critically acclaimed albums – ROONEY & CALLING THE WORLD – EUREKA sees the band not only showcasing their most inventive and original material to date, but also seeking innovative and self-motivated ways to develop in a new climate, playing a vital role in the future of the music industry.
Taking control of their music brings Rooney back to their roots. Formed in 1999, the band began self-producing and promoting EPs with endless shows on The Sunset Strip and along the way garnered a massive fan base in their hometown of Los Angeles and beyond. Dear friends of Rooney –
It is with much mixed emotion I announce my departure from the band. Just a few days ago, I let the guys know that it’s time for me to take my life in a new direction. This has been the most difficult decision of my life so far, as Rooney has been the most significant fixture in my world, by far, for the past decade.
From age 17 until now (27), I have lived and breathed music with Ned, Louis, Robert, and Taylor. Rooney was a lifestyle, an escape, and an obstacle course rolled into one. For a long time, it was the only thing that really mattered to me. I look back at those times as some of the most unadulterated and sincere moments of my life. I cherish the shared passion and drive that we possessed as a group, and will always remember the music we made together. In fact, I take an enormous amount of pride in what we accomplished musically.
